Frequently Asked Questions

You provide a discount for customer-owned tanks, yet other companies try to get us to rent tanks.  Why?

When you have a rental tank, no one can fill it except the owner of the tank.  You are locked in to that company, even if they let you run dry or raise the price to $100 a gallon ... you're stuck.  (We know of a customer who was on a "keep-full" with his provider, but they let him run out of propane on a Thursday night, with snow coming on Saturday.  He called on Friday morning and told them he had no heat;  they told him it would be three days before they could fill his tank.)

We keep your business by providing good prices and excellent service.  Rental tanks are expensive for us to buy, so we pass the savings along to those who buy their own.

How do we switch to your company from another provider?

Simply call us and set-up an account (including Discover/Novus, MasterCard, VISA, and American Express).

  • If you own your tank, we can fill it very quickly.

  • If you rent your tank, and ...

    • want to continue renting, we'll need to swap the existing tank for one of ours.  We'll install our rental tank, pump the propane from the old tank to new tank, and complete the filling of the tank.  You'll pay only the modest annual rental fee and for the propane we add.  There's no extra charge for swapping the tanks and pumping your existing propane into the new tank.

    • want to buy a tank, we can sell you one.  We'll install the new tank, pump the propane from the old tank to new tank, and complete the filling of the tank.  You'll pay only for the tank and the propane we add.  There's no extra charge for swapping the tanks and pumping your existing propane into the new tank.

We are setting up propane for the first time.  May we rent one from you?  Do you have tanks for purchase?

Certainly.  A modest annual rental fee applies, or you can buy a tank from us at a very reasonable price.  (We have used tanks if you want to save money.)

How do I pay for my propane?

We can set you up for billing, with approved credit.  Many customers choose to leave their credit cards on file with us.  When we fill your tank, we automatically charge your card and then send you a receipt.  It's the ultimate in convenience for you, especially for those on "keep-full" status.

I just called another company for a quote and they gave me a ridiculously low price.  How can they be cheaper than you?

Most propane companies have a "gimmick price."  They quote you a low price, try to rent you a tank (see rental question above), and after you're committed to them you discover the low price was only for the first 100 or so gallons.  It's a common practice, but we don't do it ... we think it's deceptive.

Do I have to be home to receive propane?

Not if you have a credit account with us or are on credit card billing (Discover/Novus, MasterCard, VISA, and American Express).  If you have a vicious dog, we request the dog be restrained or the homeowner be present.

What about extra fees?

We do not add delivery, haz-mat, insurance, or any other hidden fees.

You're new ... how well are you staffed and do you have sufficient equipment to service us?

We have two trucks and two drivers.  Both are owners, so you're dealing with people who have a vested interest in taking care of you.  We also have office staff.
